I am continuing to fight for victims.
During the 2017 legislative session, I worked with state senators and representatives on
two new laws to protect victims — Gina’s Law and Lesley’s Law.
Gina’s law would protect kidnapping victims and enable them to get protective orders against their kidnappers.
Lesley’s Law would protect victims from unwanted contact from their abusers in prison, from their attorneys, and from third parties acting on behalf of their abusers.
